My Summer Rant & Rave

My Summer Rant & Rave is a summer writing competition running for 8 weeks from Friday 6^th July to Friday 31^st August 2018, encouraging primary aged children to continue to use their imagination and put pen to paper during the holidays with 4 fortnightly summer themed activities.

Do you have primary school aged children?

Do you like to get them out and about in the summer holidays? 

Do you want to restrict screen time & time on devices? 

Do you want to help them to continue to put pen to paper in the holidays, keeping fine motor skills tuned, brains ticking and staving off 'summer learning loss'?

Then My Summer Rant & Rave is for you and your children!

Each fortnightly activity offers a suggestion for both KS1 and KS2 pupils, and at the end of My Summer Rant & Rave we will choose a winner for each of the 4 activities who will receive £50 of Leisure Vouchers (to spend on more family fun in the next school holidays!) PLUS a stationery goody bag from Staedtler! The 4 activities will be available to download here on the following dates: 

Activity 1 - Friday 6^th July

Activity 2 - Friday 20^th July

Activity 3 - Friday 3^rd August

Activity 4 - Friday 17^th August

Throughout the 8 weeks of My Summer Rant & Rave we will also be sharing heaps of additional ingenious ideas such as this one to keep the little people busy both at home and out in the fresh air!

The first activity in My Summer Rant & Rave helps to wrap up the school year by getting your child to think about how amazing this year has been and how amazing their school is!

My Favourite Place

The second activity in My Summer Rant & Rave is all about celebrating the start of the holidays! Whether you’re going away or staying at home this holiday, your child will choose somewhere they’re excited about visiting and design a postcard or poster.

The Life Of A Plastic Bottle 

The third activity in My Summer Rant & Rave is all about the environment. We all know that in the hot summer weather it’s more important than ever to drink lots and lots of water. But what happens to all those plastic water bottles that are used on days out in the holidays?
